As auditors increasingly play the role of internal consultants, they find they need help in honing their interviewing skills. Based on long experience consulting to and training internal audit departments, we have developed a basic interviewing skills program that will help junior auditors

• plan for the interview

• understand the interviewee

• know where they are in the decision-making process (identify the client)

• target the information they need

• prepare the interviewee

• manage the interview

• ask high-yield questions

• follow-up appropriately

The course provides an opportunity to roleplay an interview and receive feedback from another instructor on an individual basis.

One instructor and two instructor versions of these courses are available. All courses are held on client site. Strategic Communications does not offer open- enrollment workshops.
